KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – It was a big comeback victory for University of Alabama volleyball on Sunday as the Crimson Tide fought back from a 2-1 match deficit for a hard-fought win in the fourth set against the Tennessee Volunteers to force a fifth and deciding set which Bama won. The Tide captured the win in the opening set 25-20 but the Vols came back for a 25-25 victory to tie it 1-1 in the second, then taking the lead over Bama with a 25-18 win in third. Alabama then rallied to win by two, 25-23, in the fourth set and claimed the match victory in the fifth 15-9.

Alabama senior Leah Lawrence and sophomores Ginger Perinar and Mahalia Swink all three posted career highs in kills. Lawrence had 19, Perinar had 18 and Swink came through with 14 kills.
