TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - The University of Alabama football team put in approximately two hours of practice time in full pads on Tuesday afternoon on another sunny, humid day  at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields on the lovely campus of UA.

The Crimson Tide is looking to improve on a defensive performance last week that gave up 391 total yards of offense, as well as 13 points in the fourth quarter, to Colorado State. The Vanderbilt Commodores are expected to be an even tougher opponent this weekend, boasting one of the SEC's top-ranked offensive units. Bama is honing the game plan to try to slow Vandy down and keep the offensive off the field as much as possible. Time of possession last week went in favor of State, and the Tide doesn't want a repeat of that.

Anfernee Jennings, Rashaan Evans and Dylan Moses were all back at Tuesday's practice session and looking pretty good as each continues to recover from injuries.

Practice resumes today and will finish up tomorrow before the team makes it way to the Music City for its first true road test of 2017. The Alabama Crimson Tide takes on the Vanderbilt Commodores this Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. CT and can be seen on CBS television. In the booth will be Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson, with Allie LaForce walking the sidelines.

UA leads in the series over VU 59-19-4, and has won the past 21 consecutive games dating back to 1985.

University of Alabama football commit Jalyn Armour-Davis will miss up to three weeks for St. Paul's after having his injured right knee scoped on Tuesday morning. The four-star defensive back was injured during the first quarter of the St. Paul's-Williamson game this past Friday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The Saints won that contest 9-6.
According to AL.com, St. Paul's football head coach Steve Mask said, "He just planted his inside foot and it gave away. He didn't get hit on it. It just buckled."
He is expected to make a full recovery according to Mask. Armour-Davis committed to the Crimson Tide earlier this summer.
The surgery went well, according to Mask. He continued, "We're ecstatic about the results."
