He's one of the University of Alabama's best-known running backs. And he is one of 76 players and five coaches placed on the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot, according to the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. He's Bobby Humphrey, winner of awards and a record-setter.

Humphrey finished his illustrious career at UA with 4,958 all-purpose yards, 40 touchdowns, and the all time-leader in yardage. He set Bama's single-season rushing record back in 1986 with 1,471 yards. In 1987 he was named UPI Offensive Player of the the Year.

We'll have to wait until January to find out who makes it in this year's class. The announcement of the 2016 Class will be made on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona. Then another long wait for completion of the process. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place during the NFF Annual Awards Dinner in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria. The 2016 class will then be formally inducted on December 6, 2016.

2015 Soccer Schedule Announced

The University of Alabama soccer team will kick off it's full 19-game schedule on August 21, according to Alabama first-year head coach Wes Hart. Prior to that opening, however, Bama will face Vanderbilt in an exhibition contest on August 13 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bama will play 10 home matches at the Alabama Soccer Complex, and face nine Southeastern Conference teams to close out the regular season. However five of the Tides first seven matches will be on the road.

Coach Hart said, "The start of the 2015 season can't get here soon enough for me. I can't wait to take the field and officially begin to shape a new era of Alabama soccer. From coaching staff to players, there are a lot of new faces here, but I am very excited about the group we have in place. It's clear to me that we have some talented players in the fold."

The Tide opens at Memphis on August 21, then home for two games with Troy and Wake Forest in late August. Bama then hits the road again for three more matches prior to facing their first SEC opponent.

Hart commented further, "We've got a very challenging non-conference schedule. Opening up at Memphis will not be an easy task, and we'll have an opportunity to test ourselves early in the season against a very well-coached ACC team in Wake Forest. Our trip to the Northeast to square off with Rhode Island and Harvard will be a challenging final tune-up before beginning the conference season."

The LSU Tigers will be Bama's first conference test on September 11. The Crimson Tide will face 11 conference foes in its last 13 matches of the season. Between September 11 -20 Alabama will play LSU, Southern Miss, Kentucky, and Jacksonville in Tuscaloosa. Then Bama heads back to the road to face Ole Miss and South Carolina before returning home to play Auburn on October 1.

The Tide will face Texas A&M on October 9, Tennessee on October 11, Georgia on October 16, Missouri on October 23, Mississippi State on October 25, and Arkansas on October 29. The Tennessee, Missouri, and Mississippi State games will be at home.

"After spending the past two seasons in the ACC, I'm thrilled to be coaching in the SEC," said Hart. "This conference has made a lot of noise and opened some eyes in recent years. We know that our conference schedule will not be easy. The SEC has established itself as one of the top conferences in the country, and I'm sure it will continue to improve."

Alabama has a daunting challenge ahead, playing eight teams this season that appeared in the 2014 Women's College Cup, including five teams that advanced to the round of 16.

Then the 2015 SEC Tournament, set for November 2-8, will return to  Orange Beach, Alabama for the ninth consecutive season.
