While things are still not settled concerning the Cam Robinson arrest last month, a little more information has come to light that leads many to believe the situation is not as serious as originally thought.

University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, himself, had said there were things that weren't generally known about the case in his statement following the arrest. He said, "It's the first time Cam has ever had an issue or a problem. We're handling it and managing it internally and making him do things to hopefully change his behavior. I'm waiting to see how this whole legal thing plays out, because it's not really what it seems to be."

ESPN.com is reporting that earlier in the night the two young men, Robinson and Hootie Jones, were at a gun range shooting and failed to take the guns home afterward. Also reported by ESPN was the fact that Robinson had purchased the gun about a year earlier but didn't know it was stolen, and then failed to have it registered. Saban declined to provide specifics concerning the information and arrest.
