Bama Men's Basketball Fights Cancer; Alabama Baseball Single-Game Tix Now On Sale




Alabama Men's Basketball
Joins The Fight Against Cancer


TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Far too many have had to deal with ravages of the dread disease we call cancer. This disease discriminates against no one. It attacks all races and nationalities, young and old alike. Cancer.

The University of Alabama will join the fighter against this hated killer. Alabama men's basketball head coach Avery Johnson will join over 4,000 basketball coaches and staff from all across the United States for Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Week, January 23-29. Alabama Crimson Tide fans are encouraged to join Johnson's Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge team to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.


With the launch of the 3-Point Challenge, Bama fans will have the opportunity to pledge a monetary amount for every 3-pointer made now through March 5th. The funds raised will help the American Cancer Society continue its mission to improving and saving lives by doing the most to help people with cancer today and working tirelessly to find cures for the disease tomorrow.

Johnson and his Alabama basketball staff will be wearing sneakers and launch the team's Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge during their games this week against the Georgia Bulldogs and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Crimson Tide will face Georgia on Wednesday, January 25th with an 8 p.m. CT tipoff on ESPNU, followed by a home game to be played against Mississippi State on Saturday, January 28th, at 5 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

2017 Single-Game Tickets Now On Sale



TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Let's all sing it together: "Take me out to the baaallgame..." The University of Alabama Athletics TIDE PRIDE/Ticket Office has announced that single-game tickets for the upcoming 2017 Crimson Tide baseball season are now on sale.

This is a new beginning, of sorts, for the Crimson Tide baseball team. It's the beginning of the Greg Goff era of Alabama baseball, and it all begins on February 17th when Bama baseball takes on Presbyterian College with the season-opener. This game will be the first of a total of 37 games played at Sewell-Thomas Stadium this season. The 2017 home schedule offers some great matchups. Single game contests that would be good to see at The Joe inclued games against Southern Miss (February 21st) and in-state foe UAB (March 21st). In addition, check out the games featuring Southeastern Conference series against the Missouri Tigers (March 17-19), the Arkansas Razorbacks (March 31-April 2), the Texas A&M Aggies (April 13-15), the LSU Tigers (April 27-29) as well as the Florida Gators (May 12-14).

New this season at the home games will be "Taco Tuesday" and "Sunday Brunch" promotions. Each Tuesday, fans can purchase a "Taco Tuesday" ticket for only $10 with a limit of 200 promotional tickets available. The $10 includes a game ticket along with admission to the taco and salsa bar on the Third Base Patio. Sundays will feature a brunch option that costs $25 for fans and includes a game ticket and admission to the Third Base Patio where fruit bowls, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and homemade jams will be available for breakfast. "Sunday Brunch" tickets are also limited to only 200 fans, so orders must be placed early.

Alabama baseball ticket prices vary for individual games in reserve sections, with weekday reserved adult prices set at $8 and youth reserved costing $5. Weekends in the reserve section run $10 for adults and $7 for fans 18 and under. Another special pricing option will be $5 Wednesdays, with reserved seating for all ages set at only $5.

Fans are also encouraged to look into group seating options for the 2017 season. Seating options for parties of 15 or more costs $5. Groups can also reserve the Third Base Patio seating for parties, including birthday parties.
