It was another hot practice for the University of Alabama football team yesterday afternoon in full pads for two hours at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in Tuscaloosa. Bama is preparing for an invasion by the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies this Saturday.

The Crimson Tide is honing the execution and concentration skills to face one of the most balanced teams they have played this season. The Aggies boast the Southeastern Conference's top offense, averaging 532.8 yards per game. The defense is no slouch, either, number one in the SEC with 58 tackles for loss. As they say here in the south, the Aggies "will be a handful."

Though he practiced drills yesterday afternoon, Alabama offensive lineman Alphonse Taylor held back in the actual team schemes and run-throughs during practice. He is still recovering the concussion received in the Arkansas game.

Bama and A&M first met on the field in the 1942 Cotton Bowl, with the Tide holding a 6-2 advantage in the series. Alabama won last season 41-23 in College Station, and 59-0 the year before in Tuscaloosa.
