The University of Alabama Crimson Tide volleyball team suffered a Sunday afternoon loss to 22nd-ranked Kentucky by set scores of 19-25, 15-25 and 17-25. It was Bama's weekend finale and a tough loss.

The Crimson Tide (15-9, 4-7 SEC) managed to hang with the Wildcats (17-5, 10-1 SEC) but late surges and overpowering play ultimately doomed the Crimson Tide to allow Kentucky to complete the sweep, holding the Crimson Tide to a .071 team hitting percentage. Bama's Krystal Rivers finished the match with a team-leading 19 kills and was only one dig shy of a double-double with nine. She is now only 96 kills away from tying the Alabama soccer career record. She also accounted for one ace and two blocks in the contest.

Haley McSparin added five kills to the mix, with Brittany Thomas contributing two kills, one ace and one block as well as Abolanle Onipede adding an additional two kills yesterday.

Alabama will now take to the road, heading west to face Texas A&M (13-7, 7-2 SEC) on Thursday, November 3rd at 6 p.m. CT. Then the Tide returns home to host the Arkansas Razorbacks (4-18, 2-8 SEC) in Foster Auditorium on Sunday, November 6th at 1 p.m. CT. Both matches will air live on the SEC Network.
