BRISTOL, Conn. - It was a very busy Wednesday for University of Alabama football head football coach Nick Saban. He spent his day participating in various interviews at the ESPN Car Wash.

The day kicked off with a telephone interview with ESPN's "Mike & Mike" before ever even leaving Tuscaloosa. Next up, upon arrival in Bristol, was an interview with Rece Davis. Following that were several live and taped segments for "SportsCenter" to be aired at various times. Next up was an interview with the crew of "First Take". Next up was the cast of characters from ESPN's College GameDay, which is always fun. It was then on to another segment of "SportsCenter", followed by interview on "NFL Live." Saban then met off-camera with a couple of interviews with ESPN writers, and then back on-air again, this time with the "Ryen Russillo Show", the "Championship Drive" podcast, the "Paul Finebaum Show" and then the "Stephen A. Smith Show". Then lastly it was Saban on-set for "College Football Live" before heading back to The Capstone.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will officially kick off its 2017 Fall Camp with the Nick's Kids Luncheon on Wednesday, August 2nd at Bryant-Denny Stadium before the team hits the field on Thursday, August 3rd for the start of practice. Bama will work throughout the month of August in preparation for a season-opening matchup with the Florida State Seminoles at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – The University of Alabama volleyball team is one 145 Division I teams to win the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 season. The announcement came this week from the association.

In order to be honored with this prestigious award, a team must display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA. The Alabama Crimson Tide is one of eight Southeastern Conference  teams to earn the award this season.

Last season, Bama senior Krystal Rivers was one of two SEC student-athletes to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. Rivers was only the second two-time honoree in Alabama volleyball history. Twelve members of the 2016 Crimson Tide roster took home SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades.
