Dabo Is Pulling For The 'Noles
Over The Alabama Crimson Tide

Though he played for the University of Alabama and began his coaching career with The Crimson Tide, the head coach of the Clemson Tigers, Dabo Swinney, will be pulling for the Florida State Seminoles. He made the pronouncement this week at ACC Media Day.

According to Matt Connolly of The State, Dabo said on Thursday that he was "pulling for the Noles." Of course, Swinney and company will have to face the Seminoles during the regular season, so best not give them any fodder for the fire leading up their big clash. The Tigers have defeated their ACC Atlantic Division rivals the past two seasons.

Of course there is always the possibility that Clemson and Alabama could meet at or near season's end. However, they must first get by FSU, as well as the Southeastern Conference's Auburn and South Carolina.

The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Florida State Seminoles in Atlanta, Georgia on September 2nd. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

You Can Bet Jimbo Will Have
FSU As Ready For Alabama As He Can

Florida State head football coach Jimbo Fisher isn't shy when it come to touting the virtues of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Fisher told the media horde at this week's ACC Kickoff the his conference is the best in both football and basketball.

Now here's the thing...Florida State and the University of Alabama will open the season in Atlanta, Georgia. Jimbo's thoughts about being prepared for the game with the Tide?  "Well," Fisher said to all in Charlotte, North Carolina, "I scheduled it, so I better be ready for it. No, it is. I think it's a great opportunity. I think it's what college football is about. You get to walk in that atmosphere and environment, the two-winningest teams in college football in the last seven years. I think it's great for our league, I think it's great for college football.

"I think we find out where we're at, and I think not every year you have those games, But I think sometimes you are, and I think this is a year that we're both prepared to be able to do that. I think it's an outstanding chance for us to take another step toward how we want to play and the things we want to do."

It is, indeed, expected to be a great game - The University of Alabama Crimson Tide versus the Florida State Seminoles in a neutral-site matchup. The Tide and Seminoles will meet in Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on September 2nd for the Chick-fil-A College Football Kickoff Game.
