The Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League announced yesterday that they have officially signed former Crimson Tide, Browns and Colts running back Trent Richardson to a contract.

Richardson and the Ravens had an unofficial agreement between them to sign provided the former first-round draft pick shed some weight and show up to the complex in shape on Monday.

Earlier this month Richardson said, "I've got a lot to prove to myself. It's not about everybody else this time, it's about me. I'm really giving it my all. It's enough talk. We've been doing a lot of talking. Now it's just time to put up."

Richardson joins fellow-running backs Justin Forsett, Javorius Allen, Lorenzo Taliaferro and Terrance West in the Raven backfield. However, it has been noted that Richardson is still no lock to actually make the team. But he now has another chance to prove himself.
