Crimson Tide Football Adds Two Commitments On Saturday

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide 2017 recruiting class grew by two yesterday. Jhavonte Dean and Hunter Brannon both gave their verbal commitment to play their college football with the Crimson Tide.

Dean was the first one to pull the trigger on Saturday. He is considered by most as the top junior college cornerback in the nation and is the No. 8 overall junior college recruit and is listed as a four-star by 247Sports. He has been playing college ball at Blinn College in Texas, where he had 18 tackles and nine pass breakups as a freshman last season.
The 6' 2", 189-pound native of Homestead, Florida also had offers from Florida, TCU, Miami and several others.

The youngster already has a Crimson Tide pedigree. His uncles are the Wesley, Taylor & Justin Britt.
Brannon took to Twitter yesterday to make his announcement, saying, "Dreams come true! I am proud to say I have received an offer from THE University of Alabama and I have commited."

Alabama Men's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule
To Be Announced This Wednesday
Football season begins in mere weeks, so that means that University of Alabama Crimson Tide Basketball won't be far behind. Alabama men's basketball head coach Avery Johnson
will be announcing the 2016-17 non-conference schedule in a first-of-its-kind
event that will be available for fans to watch live. The "Alabama
Basketball Summer Tip Off Event" will take place on Wednesday, July 27,
at 4 p.m. CT and a live stream will be available for fans to watch the
announcement as it happens in real time.
Avery Johnson has made a big splash with Tide fans since arriving at the university just over a year ago. He has brought excitement and unification to the Crimson Tide faithful. With his catch-phrase, "Buckle Up," Johnson has giving the team and fans a focal point and rallying cry as he led Bama into battle his first season. He has proven himself a more than capable coach, recruiter, and showman.
Alabama men's basketball radio play-by-play announcer Chris Stewart will host the event which will feature a sit down chat with coach Johnson as the two recap the 2015-16 season as well as give the Tide basketball faithful a preview of the upcoming year. Following that, the schedule will be unveiled game-by-game, while Johnson and members of the Crimson Tide coaching staff will provide commentary about each opponent.
