ESPN Preseason Top 25 College Football Poll
ESPN has released its Top 25 Preseason College Football poll. Heading the list is defending National Champion Alabama. The team Alabama defeated for last season's national championship, Clemson, comes in at number two.
Six schools from the Southeastern Conference made the list, four of which are from the SEC Western Division.

4-Star SG Jordan Goodwin Places Bama In Top 7

University of Alabama Crimson Tide basketball is getting some good looks from some really good players. Alabama men's basketball head coach Avery Johnson and staff have really been putting in the time and effort to attract some of the nation's most sought-after student-athletes.
Four-star shooting guard Jordan Goodwin is one of those players. Goodwin stands at 6' 2" and weighs in at 185 pounds and hails from Belleville (Illinois) Althoff Catholic, and has just released his Top 7 schools via Twitter. The Alabama Crimson Tide is one of the seven programs that have peaked the interest of young Goodwin.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Goodwin is the No. 2 shooting guard in the state of Illinois, No. 11 in the nation and No. 48 overall.
Goodwin holds offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, Iowa, St. Louis, Michigan State, Ohio State and others.

Four-Star Jerry Jeudy Set To Commit Tomorrow

Jerry Jeudy, a 6-foot-1, 177-pound four-star receiver out of Deerfield Beach
High School in south Florida, is set announce his commitment on Thursday, July 28, at
7:30 p.m. CT. Jeudy is listed as the nation's No. 6 receiver and No. 35
overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite.
Jeudy is close friends with University of Alabama Crimson Tide receiver Calvin Ridley, and many believe this is one factor that will put Jeudy at the Capstone. His favorites list includes Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State and Miami.

Former Tide Safety Sunseri Signs With New England Patriots

According to the team's website, the New England Patriots have signed defensive back and former Crimson Tide safety Vinnie Sunseri. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Vinnie played a big role for the Crimson Tide in two BCS National Championships and a Southeastern Conference Championship. The Tide was unable to win the SEC in 2011, but did win the National Championship, and then again in 2012 repeated for the NC after winning the Southeastern Conference Championship.
Sunseri was with Alabama from 2011 to 2014, then opted to leave early for the National Football League. In his 33 games for the Tide he had 105 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four interceptions, five pass breakups as well as two defensive touchdowns.
In 2014 he suffered a season-ending knee injury. He had other injuries during his career, one with his arm also in 2014 and a knee injury in 2015.
The Saints released Sunseri at the end of April this year, but has now been signed by the Patriots. He will be in the defensive backfield with another Bama alum, Cyrus Jones.

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football program has another highly-rated student-athlete looking for a possible home there. 4-Star ATH Jermaine Eskridege has released his Top 3 teams on Twitter, and Alabama is one of those.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound four-star prospect hails from Tampa, Florida, and is ranked the No. 7 ATH and No. 130 recruit in the class of 2018 by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. Most are projecting Eskridge to be a wide receiver at the college level.
The top 3 schools, in order, for Eskridge are Ohio State, The University of Alabama and Miami.
