Ahh it's sweet indeed, Alabama fans. The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football program has picked up an offensive line commitment today to add to the current two, 4-star tackle Tommy Brown and 3-star guard/center Jarrett Bell. He is Emil Ekiyor, a 4-star Michigan offensive line commit from Cathedral High School (Indianapolis, Indiana). He flipped his commitment from the Wolverines to Alabama only one week after a surprise visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the game against the Tennessee Volunteers. Ekiyor confirmed his choice to the coaching staff on Wednesday night but wanted to wait until today to make the public announcement.
SEC Country reports that Ekiyor told them, "It just came down to my connection with the coaching staff at Alabama." He further stated he was comfortable with them, as well as "the reputation of greatness that they have and playing for arguably one of the greatest coaches of all time."
Ekiyor plans to sign his letter of intent in the early signing period in December, but won't be able to enroll until the summer.
