The Crimson Tide put in two hours of work in shells on Thursday afternoon at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility, and all that's left is the game on Saturday.

The team had an opportunity to work the offensive, defensive and special teams specifically for what is expected from the Volunteers tomorrow.

This will be the 100th meeting between the Tide and Vols, with Alabama holding a pretty big advantage at 54-37-8 (52-38-7 after vacations) in the all-time series. Bama has won the last 10 matchups between the two squads. Most recently, the Tide defeated Tennessee 49-10 in Knoxville last season.

Lawsuit By Former Bama Player
Against Former Bama Coach Is Dismissed

It would appear that a fraud suit filed by a former University of Alabama football player against a former UA football coach has been dismissed. Shelby County Circuit Judge Lara Alvis has dismissed the case that former Alabama receiver Antonio "A.C." Carter brought against former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin. The case has been dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.

Carter had claimed that Kiffin and Florida Atlantic University, where Kiffin is now the head football coach, had offered him a job in order to get him to help sign a prospective recruit, and then failed to follow through on the numerous assurances that the job was his if he would help. The lawsuit claimed, "Kiffin deliberately misled him regarding a job on the FAU football staff in order to benefit from his family relationship with a prospect." The suit was filed in March.

Additionally, the suit also said that Carter was told that two "minor misdemeanor" charges disqualified him from the job, despite Carter showing the necessary paperwork resolving the incidents.

Carter played three years at The Capstone before a leg injury sidelined him. He also served as a graduate assistant for Alabama football head coach Nick Saban in 2000 then left for Appalachian State to serve as a receivers coach. Kiffin served as offensive coordinator at UA for three seasons after having served as head coach at USC and Tennessee before that.
