Crimson Tide Places Ten Players
On 2017 Coaches All-SEC Team





BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The University of Alabama football team placed 10 players on the 2017 Coaches All-SEC Team. The announcement came on Tuesday afternoon from the Southeastern Conference office.

The Crimson Tide was the overall leader of student-athletes selected, placing 10 All-SEC selections, including five first-team honorees, on the teams. This is now the 10th-consecutive season that Bama has led the conference in All-SEC selections.

Selected for the first team defense for Bama were junior defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and sophomore defensive lineman Raekwon Davis. On the offensive side of the ball it was sophomore offensive lineman Jonah Williams and junior receiver Calvin Ridley receiving first-team honors. Senior punter JK Scott was named the first-team punter.

This is the third first team honor for Scott (2014, 2016) and second for Fitzpatrick (2016). Ridley was named to the second team in 2015 and 2016.

Named to the second team All-SEC offense was Alabama senior center Bradley Bozemanwhile senior defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, junior defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne, senior linebacker Rashaan Evans and junior defensive back Ronnie Harrison were all named to the second team defensive unit.

The 2017 SEC individual award winners are scheduled to be announced today, with the names of the SEC All-Freshman Team to be released on Thursday.

Alabama Football Adds Another Commitment
With The Announcement By Nadab Joseph

The University of Alabama football program has added another key player to its 2018 recruiting class. Cornerback Nadab Joseph of Miami Norland High School in Miami, Florida is now a hard commit to the Crimson Tide.

The 6' 5", 180-pound four-star cornerback is rated at 19th in his position according to 247Sports Composite. He is ranked 34th from the state of Florida.

Joseph held over 20 offers from top universities around the country. In the Southeastern Conference alone he had offers from not only Alabama, but also Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.

The commitment was announced on Tuesday night following an in-home visit by UA football head coach Nick Saban as well as Joe Pannunzio. Defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley and tight ends coach Joe Pannunzio were key in the recruitment of  Joseph.

Joseph is expected to sign and enroll early at The Capstone.

These 12 are considered as hard commits to the Crimson Tide. As new commits and signees are announced the list will be updated and released.
