Two Bama Linebackers May Miss Remainder Of Season
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Two key injuries have been reported as a result of the hard defensive play in the UA-FSU contest on Saturday. University of Alabama outside linebackers Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis will possibly miss the remainder of the 2017 season.
Miller received a bicep injury while Lewis has sustained an elbow injury. Following the conclusion of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban called the pair "very questionable." Prior to the injuries the two were having great games, with Lewis picking up five tackles and Miller three. Saban will be holding a noon press conference today with more information on the injuries, as well as recapping Saturday's victory over FSU.
Miller and Lewis weren't the only two Tide linebackers injured in the Saturday contest, though they were the worst. Also injured were Rashaan Evans and Anfernee Jennings. Evans sustained a groin injury while Jennings suffered an ankle injury. Neither returned to the game.

Alabama soccer head coach Wes Hart said, "I am very pleased with the performance. I thought the girls came out with the right attitude. We made 15 shots in the first half, so it was a dominate half for us, but we found ourselves only up 1-0 at halftime. So the second half was important, getting that next goal and we did that."
In the five-game history of the series history between Alabama and Troy, the Crimson Tide has outscored Troy 24-0. Congratulations goes out to senior goalkeeper Kat Stratton who recorded two saves in the match, and recorded her second shutout of the year.
Hart commented, "Abbie Boswell made a nice run down the sideline and the ball was fed through to her and she scored a great goal. I am very happy for Abbie. She needed those two goals for her confidence. She has been playing well but had not found the back of the net, but hopefully, these two goals today will get her rolling."
Alabama took 21 shots in the contest as compared to six for Troy. The Tide also led in shots on goal, 11-2
The Crimson Tide will face Kennesaw State at 6 p.m. CT in Kennesaw, Georgia on September 7th before returning home to battle Tennessee Tech on Sunday, September 10th at 5 p.m. CT.
