TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - The quest for an undefeated season continues as the University of Alabama football team continued preparation on Tuesday afternoon for Saturday's home game with Colorado State. Yesterday's two-hour session in full pads was again forced inside at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on the UA campus due to the rain.
Dylan Moses, Rashaan Evans nor Anfernee Jennings were seen at yesterday's practice session during the media viewing period. It is highly unlikely the three will see action in this Saturday's game. On a positive note, Lester Cotton was back practicing on Tuesday. If you recall, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said that Cotton had gotten "dinged" up in last Saturday's contest with Fresno State. Josh Jacobs also continued to show improvement.
Alabama football head coach Nick Saban mentioned in his Monday press conference that there was still plenty of room for improvement, and the Crimson Tide focused on making those adjustments and improvements following last Saturday's home opener against Fresno State. The Tide won the last meeting between the two teams, a 31-6 victory back in 2013 in Tuscaloosa in 2013 in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The Crimson Tide and Rams are slated for a 6:05 p.m. CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 with Mark Jones and Rod Gilmore handling play-by-play and analysis from the booth while Quint Kessenich handles the sidelines.
Of note is Bama sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list, according to an announcement by the award's organizers on Tuesday afternoon. Hurts rolled up a career-best 154 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground, the the fourth 100-yard rushing game of his young career. He also added a touchdown through the air while completing 77.8 percent of his passes (14-of-18) for 128 yards and one touchdown.
