TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team was once again in full pads yesterday for another two-hour spring practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in Tuscaloosa under overcast skies with temperatures in the upper 70s. This was the 11th spring practice session for the Tide as Bama continues to prepare for its second scrimmage of the "spring season" scheduled for this Friday. Once again the scrimmage will be closed to the public.
Running backs B.J. Emmons (foot) and Bo Scarbrough (leg), as well as linebacker linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton
(knee) and cornerback Jared Mayden (hip), were all wearing black, non-contact jerseys. All were taking part in the drills with the exception of Hamilton who sported a brace on his left knee.

The A-Day Game will be broadcast live on ESPN for the second consecutive year, and is once again free to the public. Central Gwinnett High School (Lawrenceville, Georgia) quarterback Jarren Williams recently visited The Capstone with his father...and has come away with an offer to play for the University of Alabama.
The 6' 3", 211-pound youngster threw for 2,618 yards with 26 touchdowns and just four interceptions
while rushing for 396 yards and nine touchdowns in 11 games this past season. Though Williams committed to the Kentucky Wildcats this past summer, he continues to garner offers. Some of the biggest are, of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, Florida State and Tennessee.

ST. LOUIS, Missouri – Competition gets underway tomorrow in St. Louis, Missouri in the NCAA Championship, and the University of Alabama gymnastics team will be participating in its 35th-consecutive NCAA Championship. The Crimson Tide arrived in St. Louis yesterday.
UA gymnastics head coach Dana Duckworth said, "You never, ever, ever take this opportunity for granted. It doesn't just happen, you have to work extremely hard for it. Every single tenth, every single handstand is a difference maker."
Bama is set to compete in semifinal session II of the NCAA Championships on Friday, April 14th in Chaifetz Arena beginning at 7 p.m. CT. The evening session will also include Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Nebraska. Past NCAA champions in that group are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs.
Duckworth continued, "The first night is going to be intense. We are in the evening session with four SEC teams plus Michigan and Nebraska, so we have our work cut out for us. But these ladies are so good and so talented and we are so fired up for the opportunity."
The three top teams from each session will advance to Saturday's Super Six Team Final. The afternoon session (semifinal session I) will begin at noon on Friday and is comprised of Utah, UCLA, Washington, Denver, Oklahoma and Oregon State. Of this group, Utah, UCLA and Oklahoma are past champions.
Alabama has finished no worse than ninth and outside the top four just five times in its first 34 years at the NCAA Championships. This year is the 25th season of the NCAA Super Six Team Final format. In the first 24 years of the Super Six format, Alabama has earned a spot in the final six an NCAA-best 22 times.
UA will start its semifinal session on the floor exercise, then move to the vault and then pick up its first bye of the competition. After that bye, Alabama will close competition on uneven bars and balance beam before finishing its night on its second bye.
