It is said that revenge is a dish best served cold. Bama was cold, methodical, calculating in it's Game 2 win over the Oklahoma Sooners this afternoon in the NCAA Tuscaloosa Super Regional. The Lady Tide shut out the Okies 2-0 in a sweet victory to advance to Game 3 now underway.
The Tide's two runs came in the top of the third inning with Jadyn Spencer delivering the two-run shot on a home run straight over the left field wall. The fans erupted, as did the players piling out of the dugout to welcome her home.
Starting pitcher Alexis Osorio pitched all seven innings, allowing just one hit. She was poised and collected today despite yesterday's showing.
Game 3 is now underway to decide who travels to compete in the World Series. The game is being broadcast on ESPN2.
