2016 Homecoming Football Game Set

The date for the University of Alabama's 2016 Homecoming football game has been set. The Crimson Tide will host the Kentucky Wildcats for this year's homecoming at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
Details are still being worked out for the weekend, but will be announced as they become available. The kickoff time is one of those details not yet finalized.
The Alabama Crimson Tide boasts an 81-13-1 homecoming record, including an undefeated 9-0 for head coach NICK SABAN. The last homecoming loss was back in 2001, thus the Tide is riding a 14-game win streak heading into this coming season.

Spring Football Begins Tomorrow
16 National Championships. The quest for number 17 begins tomorrow when the 2016 edition of the University of Alabama football team hits the practice field for the first time.
The process, however, has continued. After a few days of enjoying winning the 2015 national championship the guys were back at it. Weight training never stops. These young men are constantly honing their bodies into the finely-tuned machines it takes to be successful in a program at this level. And tomorrow we start to get a glimpse at where they are in this never-ending process.
The love of the game, the pride in the program, the hopes and dreams of these young men will take to the field for the first time together. These brothers begin that quest that every Crimson Tide fan dreams of every year: National Championship.

Bama Men's Basketball Readies To Face Ole Miss

It was a very busy day on Wednesday for the University of Alabama men's basketball team. Head coach AVERY JOHNSON and his assistants put the Crimson Tide through their paces in preparation for tonight's match up with the Ole Miss Rebels at the 2016 Southeastern Conference Tournament being held in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bama began with a nearly two-hour practice session yesterday at Lipscomb University. They then loaded up and headed over to the Bridgestone arena, the venue for this year's tournament. The men then went at it again for nearly an hour on the court in a session that was open to the media. Both Johnson and RETIN OBASOHAN spoke to the media then made an appearance on the Paul Finebaum show.
The Tide has been installed at the No. 10 seed in the tournament, and will face the No. 7 seed Ole Miss Rebels tonight at 6 p.m. CT. The two teams only met once during the regular season this year, with Ole Miss taking a 74-66 victory. Alabama is 17-13 on the season while Ole Miss is 20-11.
The winner of tonight's contest will advance to face the No. 2 seed Kentucky Wildcats on Friday evening at 6 p.m. CT.

Tonight's Alabama baseball game with 11th-ranked Oregon has been cancelled due to inclimate weather. At this time the game is not scheduled to be played at a later date.
Tomorrow's contest with 23rd-ranked Houston is still scheduled to be played tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m. CT.

Men's Swimming & Diving Qualifies 10
The University of Alabama Crimson Tide men's swimming and diving team qualified a total of 10 to individual berths at the NCAA Championships. Bama will add four relay swimmers to its championship roster this week.
The 2016 championships are being hosted in Atlanta, Georgia by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Those 10 young men are KRISTIAN GKOLOMEEV, CONNER OSLIN, ANTON McKEE, BRETT WALSH, KALISZAK, CHRISTOPHER REID, PAVEL ROMANOV, LAURENT BAMS, BRENT SAGERT and DYLAN MARIN. Of these, Gkolomeev, Oslin, McKee, Walsh, Kaliszak, Reid and Romanov have all previously been to the championships.
The Crimson Tide finished 10th at last year's NCAA Championships after qualifying six individuals and taking four more on relays. This year's group will total 14, including 10 individuals and four relay swimmers.

UA Hosts Annual Pro Day

The University of Alabama hosted its annual Pro Day yesterday, along with the coaches of the NFL and television crew of the SEC Network. 19 draft-eligible Bama athletes participated in the event before a group representing all 32 National Football League teams.
Alabama head coach NICK SABAN said, "I am just very pleased and happy that we have a great turn out here today to take a look at some of our players. This is a goal that a lot of our players have that they would like to have the opportunity to play at the next level someday. I know they've worked hard, they've done a great job for us, and we certainly want to do the best job that we can to help them fulfill some of those goals and aspirations after they did a fantastic job here at Alabama."
Those draft eligible players participating yesterday were JAKE COKER, KENYAN DRAKE (weigh-in only), TY FLOURNOY-SMITH, DERRICK HENRY, DOMINICK JACKSON, CYRUS JONES, DARREN LAKE, DILLON LEE, GENO MATIAS-SMITH, RICHARD MULLANEY, MICHAEL NYSEWANDER, D. J. PETTWAY, REGGIE RAGLAND, JARRAN REED, A'SHAWN ROBINSON, BRADLEY SYLVE and JABRIEL WASHINGTON.
The 2016 NFL Draft will be held April 28 through April 30 and will take place at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
