It was another two hours of work yesterday for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Alabama practiced Thursday in full pads on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in preparation for their upcoming national championship contest. This was the fourth of six practices for Bama.

Alabama (13-1) will meet Clemson (14-0) this Monday, January 11th at Phoenix Stadium in the College Football Playoff National Championship. Game time is 7:30 p.m. CT and will air live on ESPN. This is the Tide's fourth time in seven years to play for the national championship.

The Tide has a final home practice this morning before departing for Arizona this afternoon. Plans for Saturday include an hour-long media day, as well as another practice in the evening. Sunday morning both head coaches will participate in a press conference, a team picture and then a walk through.

Tide Women Drop One To Kentucky 73-48

The Alabama women's basketball team fell hard to the Kentucky Wildcats last night 73-48 in their first SEC road game. The Tide drops to 12-3, 1-1 SEC while Kentucky improves to 12-1, 1-1 SEC.

Tide head coach KRISTY CURRY said, "We got manhandled inside and didn't do a good job of being aggressive on the outside. You can't come into Kentucky and shoot 12 free throws. That's an aggressive statistic, nor can you get out-rebounded by 15. You can't do those two things, and those are aggressive statistics that we've got to do a better job with and grow up. I thought our bench really hurt us at times in the first half. It was just a culmination of things you cannot do on the road. The bright side of it is you have a great opportunity to learn from tonight and bounce back and come home and defend your home court. We've got 14 more of these, so we've got to continue to grow and try to improve along the way."

It was sophomore KARYLA MIDDLEBROOK leading Alabama in scoring with 12 points, while HANNAH COOK followed with 10. Senior NIKKI HEGSTETTER had a team-high eight rebounds.

On the night the Tide was 30.4% (17 of 56) from the floor, while Kentucky went 43.5 percent (27 of 62). The Wildcats outrebounded the Tide, 45-30, and outscored Alabama, 30-10, in the paint.

Bama will return home to Foster Auditorium to host the Vanderbilt Commodores this Sunday, January 10th. The game will air on SEC Network+ and tips off at 2 p.m. CT.

Cavin Ridley Commits...Again

For the second time in a week, receiver Cavin Ridley, brother of Alabama's CALVIN RIDLEY, has committed to play football at a college. No, not South Carolina again. No, not ALABAMA with his brother.

Georgia.

The younger Ridley, who may go by Riley in college, yesterday announced he will play for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, and will be an early enrollee. He is a four-star receiver from Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Jaquan Yulee Decommits

Alabama football has lost another commitment. This one is linebacker prospect Jaquan Yulee who had been committed to the Tide for several months now. H says he will still consider Alabama but wanted to make sure he was making the right choice. Yulee is a four-start recruit out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
