The University of Alabama men's tennis team took two wins on Friday at the UNF Tennis Courts in Jacksonville, Florida. First, the Crimson Tide knocked off the Miami Hurricanes 4-1, and then defeated the host UNF Ospreys 4-2. Alabama now moves to 5-1 on the season.
Alabama head coach GEORGE HUSACK said, "Super effort today by the Tide. They were gritty, resilient and played with tremendous conviction. It
could've been real easy to lay blame on the rough weather and outdoor
elements but the guys were focused and battled all the way through.
"We're getting contributions from everyone whether on or off
court, and that's great to see. Becker is leading by
example and is our freight train. Mazen came up big today in both
matches too. And for Matt and Grayson to close things out tonight in
front of a spirited and energized UNF crowd, that was great Alabama
tennis."
The Tide concludes play today with a match against UNC Wilmington.
