Tide Football To Open 2018 With Louisville
The 2015, 2016, and 2017 football opening games are set against quality opponents in neutral sites for the University of Alabama. An option is even held for 2019 and/or 2020 for the same. So that just left 2018. Now that has been filled.
The University of Alabama Crimson Tide will open the 2018 season against Louisville on September 1, 2018 in the renovated Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, according to ESPN.
2018 will mark the seventh consecutive season that the Tide will open with a high-profile neutral-site game. Bama is unbeaten in five games in season-opening neutral-site games. The Tide hasn't played Louisville since losing 34-7 in the 1991 Fiesta Bowl

Florence LB Thompson Leaving The State
Three-star Florence linebacker Erroll Thompson will become the third Florence football standout in a four-year span to leave the state of Alabama to go to Mississippi State. He chose State yesterday over Alabama, Kentucky, Louisville and Michigan.
The 6' 2", 250-pound Thompson said he just wanted to get his decision out of the way to avoid potential distractions for his upcoming senior football season. He said his reason to go to State was that he loved everything about the program, it was on the rise, he felt comfortable there, and the plan they had in place for him was better.
