Don'ta Hightower Honored
Lewisburg, Tennessee native Don'ta Hightower was honored yesterday in his hometown. The former Alabama and current New England Patriots linebacker had a section of 1st Avenue North just off the town square named after him, Don'ta Hightower Parkway.
The small town of Lewisburg only has a population of about 11,000, and had discontinued it's fireworks display a few years ago due to funding, but it was back this year with Hightower participating in the festivities.
While there he also donated 90 sets of shoulder pads and other equipment to the Lewisburg Pee Wee Football Program, as well as a gift from the owners of the New England Patriots and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.

DT Antwaum Jackson Lists Top 10
Four-star defensive tackle Antwaum Jackson out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia has released his top 10 choices to continue his football career. Yesterday Jackson revealed that the University of Alabama made that list.
UA actually came in sixth on Jackson's list. The 6' 2", 285-pounder places Auburn in his number one slot, tied with Ohio State. Georgia is third, followed by USC, Florida, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss, and South Carolina.
247Sports Composite rates Jackson as the No. 47 prospect in the country, and the No. 4 player overall in the state of Georgia.
No date has been set for his announcement.

Tide Looking For 2 Running Backs
Though University of Alabama football recruiting for 2016 has really taken off the past few weeks, vaulting into the "number four position" in recruiting, the Crimson Tide has yet to get a commitment in the running back position. Bama's running back corp has been seriously depleted due to transfer, injury, and dismissal from the team.
Looking for at least two running backs for 2016, the Tide still has some quality from which to choose. Four-star Kareem Walker out of Wayne, New Jersey is one of those. Mario Cristobal is handling his recruitment and has made several visits. Walker is rated the number one back in the country. The 6' 1", 210-pounder committed to Ohio State back in January, but 247Sports now has him leaning toward Alabama. Needless to say, it would be a huge pickup for Bama to turn him.
Elijah Holyfield, son of Evander Holyfield, out of Atlanta, Georgia is still available. Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Auburn are in the mix.
Four-star B.J. Emmons out of Morganton, North Carolina would make a good addition for the Tide. The 230-pounder decommitted from Georgia and now lists Alabama and Tennessee as his favorites.
Four-star 235-pound Devin White out of Springhill, Louisiana appears to be high on the the Crimson Tide. According to AL.com, he's been given "the royal treatment from Nick Saban on visits." However, it should be noted that White holds LSU in high regard.
Though he seems firmly committed to Penn State, Bama is still going after four-star Miles Sanders out of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Sanders is 5'10", 195 pounds and is highly sought-after.
There are others that the Tide are courting, but these are the five in the lead.

Braxton Miller To UA Rumor Gets New Life
Despite the fact that Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer issued a statement several days ago that quarterback Braxton Miller would remain with the Buckeyes, rumors have again begun flying about Miller coming to Alabama.
It seems Miller has announced that next week he'll be issuing a statement of some sort concerning his "immediate plans." This has fueled the rumors once again that he is considering a transfer to play at the University of Alabama. This coming after his tweet that he had completed a successful checkup with his doctors. His tweet said, "Successful check up/visit w Kevin and Andrews!"
There is no confirmation that Miller has enrolled at the University of Alabama.
Is it possible? Yes. Guess we'll see after the Braxton Miller announcement in a few day.
