Crimson Tide Continues To Ready For Tigers
This game is perhaps the biggest test of the season for the Crimson Tide, who must stop a Tiger rushing attack that ranks high in the Southeastern Conference, boasting an average of 297.8 yards per game. Auburn also brings a monstrous defensive line to the game, ranking third in the SEC in rushing defense.
Both Korren Kirvin and Cam Robinson worked out at yesterday's practice. Both are recovering from shoulder injuries in the Crimson Tide's victory over Chattanooga this past weekend.
ArDarius Stewart was practicing for the second consecutive day and is expected to play. According to Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Stewart will play provided he "does what he's supposed to do."
Kickoff for the Iron Bowl is scheduled for a 2:39 p.m. CT kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The game will be broadcast live on CBS with Verne Lundquist on play-by-play, Gary Danielson handling color commentary and Allie LaForce again working the sidelines.
This will be the 81st meeting between Alabama and Auburn. The Crimson Tide holds a 44-35-1 advantage in a series that dates back to 1893. The Crimson Tide has come away with the wins in the most recent meetings, claiming six of the last eight contests. Four of those victories led the Tide to national championships, including a 29-13 victory in Auburn last season.
Earlier yesterday, The Foundation for Teamwork selected the Alabama offensive line unit as one of 18 Semi-Finalists for the 2016 Joe Moore Award. The award annually recognizes the nation's Most Outstanding Offensive Line Unit that best displays toughness, effort, teamwork, consistency, technique, and "finishing". Alabama won the inaugural Joe Moore Award last season.

Alabama Crimson Tide Again Ranked No. 1
Four Playoff Teams Remain The Same In CFP Rankings
There is no change this week in how the College Football Playoffs would match up should the regular season be officially over right now. The University of Alabama Crimson Tide is again the No. 1 team in the country according to the College Football Playoff national rankings. Should the games be played now, Alabama would be pitted against the No. 4 Clemson Tigers with the winner of that semifinal game facing the winner of the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes versus the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines.
This week was really no problem, but what happens next week? Chances are slim, but possible, that Alabama could lose to Auburn. Either Ohio State or Michigan will lose this weekend since they play each other, so Washington will move up provided the Huskies win. If Ohio State wins, then Penn State would face Wisconsin for the Big 10 conference title since the Nittany Lions beat the Buckeyes in the head-to-head, and thus make one wonder if Ohio State can get into the playoffs without the conference championship.
So this, then, brings us back to the Iron Bowl. If the above-mentioned things happen and a one-loss Crimson Tide beats Florida for the SEC championship after having fallen to the Tigers in the last regular-season game, would the Crimson Tide still make the playoffs. Could Auburn have a legitimate shot if they beat Bama, or could Florida be a contender should the Gators win the SEC Chamipionship?
Interesting scenario for the College Football Playoff committee.
There are four teams from the Southeastern Conference in this week's poll. Alabama is the only SEC team in the top 10. Those representing the SEC this week are Alabama (1), Auburn (13), Florida (15) and Tennessee (17).

Tide Women's Basketball Defeats Georgia Southern
Alabama women's basketball head coach Kristy Curry said, "It certainly wasn't pretty, but to be able to stay the course and stay together and find a way to win ugly certainly counts. I think you can learn so much each night, but I thought tonight was really good for us."
Also in double figures Tuesday nighter were fellow juniors Hannah Cook and Meoshonti Knight, with 17 and 14 points respectively. Sophomore Shaquera Wade tied her career best in rebounds with 11 while also adding four assists, one block and a steal on the evening. Leading the scoring for Georgia Southern was senior Patrice Butler with 17 points. Junior Sierra Butler had a team-best nine rebounds for the Eagles.
It was some tough early-going for the Tide, struggling offensively in the first half. The Bama belles were able to hit only 24.2 percent (8-33) from the field, allowing Georgia Southern to push ahead and lead by one point at the half, 25-24. Bama was then able to come back stronger in the second half to take the victory.
"We had some adversity," Curry commented. "To end up getting an 18-point win is a positive, so we will learn and grow. I'm just really thankful for the experience. I thought it was really good for us tonight."
Overall, Alabama finished 24-67 from the floor (35.8 percent), while the Eagles fared slightly better at 39.2 percent (20-51). Once again, Alabama won the battle of the boards, by out-rebounding Georgia Southern 49-32.
The Crimson Tide next plays host to Alabama A&M on Sunday, November 27th. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum.
