Crimson Tide Still Double-Digit Favorite Over Tigers
The line on the Alabama-Auburn game was 14 points on many of the betting sites just over a week ago, and not much has changed. Seems to be hovering around 13 to 14 points according to which site you check.
The Crimson Tide (10-1, 6-1 SEC) will be going to the Southeastern Conference Championship game in Atlanta, Georgia if they manage to handle their cross-state rivals, the Auburn Tigers (6-5, 6-1 SEC) this Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium. If that happens, and a win over Florida happens in the championship game, Alabama will return to the College Football Playoff semifinals for the second consecutive year.
This is the first trip back to Jordan-Hare since the famous field goal return to give the Tigers the upset win over Bama in 2013. You can bet Alabama fans will be hearing it all day, or until the crowd is silenced with a big lead or a win.
The Crimson Tide leads the series 43-35-1. Last year in Tuscaloosa Bama won in a shootout 55-44.
Kickoff at Jordan-Hare this Saturday is 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast by CBS.

Bama Women's Basketball Wins 98-35
The University of Alabama Crimson Tide women's basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season by handily defeating the Mississippi Valley State Devilettes 98-35 on Sunday. Sophomore Quanetria Bolton scored a career-high 21 points to lead the team.
Alabama head coach Kristy Curry said, "I like the way we are winning these games, and that's something we haven't been able to do in the past. We haven't been able to win like this. I think you take away a lot of moments that are good, and you take away moments of areas that we need to continue to improve on. It's going to be a lot more difficult to defend in the post. It's going to be a lot more difficult to rebound. We are going to have to do a better job at getting to the ball, but I like the fact we were able to take what was there and be able to score the points today. We just continue to grow and get better."
Also scoring in double figures for Alabama was sophomore Meoshonti Knight (13), sophomore Karyla Middlebrook (12), senior Khadijah Carter (11) and sophomore Hannah Cook with 10. Leading Bama in rebounds was senior Nikki Hegstetter with eight on the day. Knight had the team-high in assists with four.
The Tide had 16 steals in the game, 12 blocks, 48 rebounds with only 10 turnovers.
Next up for Alabama is Georgia State. The game is Tuesday with a tip off time of 6 p.m. CT.
