To Open Southeastern Conference Action Against Texas A&M

This will be the 16th meeting between the Crimson Tide and the Aggies, with Alabama holding a 10-5 lead in the series. Last time these two teams met Texas A&M ended the Tide's three-game winning streak in the series with a 56-53 victory at Reed Arena back on February 25, 2017. UA, however, edged the Aggies int their most recent visit to Tuscaloosa 63-62, on February 10, 2016.

Bradley Bozeman Is Finalist For Rimington Trophy

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – University of Alabama football is used to receiving honors, both collectively as well as individually. Another individual honor has come to a member of the Crimson Tide football team. Bama senior center Bradley Bozeman has been named a finalist for the 2017 Dave Rimington Trophy as announced by the Boomer Esiason Foundation on Monday.
Two other centers around the country besides Bama's Bozeman have been named to the finalist list. The Rimington Trophy has been presented annually since 2000 to the top center in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Previous UA football players Barrett Jones (2012) and Ryan Kelly (2015) were Rimington honorees.
This season is Bozeman's second as the Tide's starting center, and has been issued an average grade for his performance of 85.6 percent as a senior with 16 knockdown blocks and just seven missed assignments in 724 snaps (99.0 percent success rate). He has allowed only two sacks and four pressures all season.
Joining Bozeman as finalists are Will Clapp of LSU and Billy Price of Ohio State. The 2017 Rimington Trophy winner will be announced during the Red Carpet Show prior to the ESPN College Football Awards in Atlanta, Georgia coming up on Thursday, December 7th. The winner will be honored at the Rimington Trophy Presentation Dinner on Saturday, January 13tg in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Braxton Barker Receives Preferred Walk-On Offer

According to a recent tweet, Spain Park HS senior quarterback Braxton Barker, son of former Crimson Tide quarterback Jay Barker, has received a preferred walk-on offer from the University of Alabama football program. The younger Barker recently posted his tweet thanking UA.
The 6' 0", 180 pound Barker amassed 2,228 passing yards completing 172 of 287 tosses for 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions this season. The youngster led his team to the Class 7A playoffs, but fell in the first round to Hewett-Trussville.
