Johnson has been very active in not only the basketball program at UA since his arrival, but continues to be a spokesman for all of the university. This particular even was part of an effort to build and strengthen relationships between current and former members of the Alabama basketball family. The coach had expressed his desire to do this at his introductory news conference when the announcement of his hiring took place in April.
